I have a focus on European vehicles like Volvo, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Saab, Audi and even many other less well known brands. I also like American vehicles as well and have long been a Buick collector along with many other GM trucks and cars. I am an ASE Certified mechanic with 30yrs of experience, I have worked for and managed large repair shops as well as owning my own garage. WHAT ELSE DO I FIX?
I work on: Anything, Lawn and Garden equipment, Farm equipment, Appliances large and small, Household Items that need soldering-wiring or mechanical repair, Antique or Classic vehicles, Electric toys, Custom and out of the ordinary Items. And if I cannot or do not fix it I will tell you up front BEFORE I take it apart or attempt to repair it, giving you a choice of how to proceed. I also stay in touch with people who are expert at fixing things that I have not yet learned to fix. And here is why....

The ability to have things repaired can save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars every year in money wasted for replacement items.
I have already saved myself over $50,000 and counting over my life so far by living by this rule.
This “saved “ money went right back into a higher living standard and more money for things that really matter.
What do you have that needs repair? That will need repair? I have fixed every item that can be found in the common home. I have done all my own home repairs, my car repairs, appliances, electronics, lawn and farming equipment and many other odd or "unfixable" things too.
Simple as soldering a hole in a watering can to complex as soldering a fuse into a circuit board- simple as changing the oil or complex as changing the engine I have always done it all, And partly as a way of life not just to save the almighty dollar. My father was an engineer and grew up knowing and learning these things. I was raised with and developed my own sense of saving what we have and not wasting what others may not even have. Billions of people in other countries and even here would love to have what we toss out every day. Why not help out yourself and others by fixing it and putting it back to work. And remember! Repairing it locally keeps your money local.
You may supply your own parts: If they are wrong I will charge for time and Ask that I be able to get the correct part ( If possible) and charge appropriately for it.
Rates and Fees:
I try hard to have very reasonable and fair pricing, My shop rate for most simple repairs is $47.00 an hour, No minimum so if I fix it in 15 minutes I will charge you $12- I round up and yes it is free to check something out. Cash and Checks accepted, No Credit or Credit Cards currently accepted and payment is expected at pickup. Delivery and Pickup are available based upon mileage at $1.00 a mile each way. Example: If you live 5 miles from ARS28 you would pay $10 for any item that did not require towing or extra manpower to pickup. Towing/ Trucking to be priced on a per item basis. Custom welding or fabrication work is $55.00 an hour + a fee for Gas/Mig wire/Grinding disc or other supplies.
Auto Repair Specialists is a NYS registered Automotive and Light Truck repair facility, We support the New York State shop registration system as promoting honesty and fair business along with helping consumers when things go wrong with a repair shop.
